Single home in Cala Millor
Location: Cala Millor, Sant Llorenç, Mallorca
Area: 2.000 m2
Execution: 2019
On a hot August I visited this house with its earthy tones, predominance of stone and wasteland around the house. Immediately, the first sensation I had was that one of the main goals of this garden would be to bring greenery and freshness to the property. Existing elements on the estate, such as the wild olive trees and the environment in which this country house is located, made it easy to opt for a palette of plants that would perfectly integrate the house and garden into the site.
High use of rosemary as a creeping plant, Pistacea lentiscus and Phyllirea angustifolia as shrubs and olive trees, both branched from the base and arboreal, give the necessary character, structure and greenery to this garden. Flowering in cool tones such as blues help to accentuate this freshness, so lavender, Agapanthus and Echium were used throughout the garden. Gaura lindheimeri and Stipa tenuissima offer other blooms and textures that complete the design.
